TRON DAO Expands MetaMask Wallet Connectivity Across B.AI, SUN.io, JustLend DAO, and BitTorrent

TRON DAO has expanded MetaMask wallet connectivity across four of its ecosystem applications, giving users of the popular self-custodial wallet a more direct path into TRON-based DeFi, AI-agent infrastructure, and file-sharing tools without needing a separate TRON-native wallet.
January 2026: the groundwork
The expansion builds on a foundation laid earlier this year, when MetaMask, developed by Consensys, added native TRON network support across its mobile app and browser extension. That update let MetaMask users manage TRON-based assets and interact with applications on the network directly from a wallet many of them already used daily for Ethereum and other EVM chains — support that existed at the network level but didn’t yet extend into individual applications’ own connection flows.
September 10, 2026: the ecosystem catches up
This week’s announcement extends that native support into four specific applications. B.AI, a financial infrastructure platform built to give autonomous AI agents their own on-chain identities and payment capability, now supports MetaMask connections. SUN.io, TRON’s largest decentralized exchange platform with more than $650 million in total value locked, added MetaMask connectivity for its SunSwap V4 automated market maker. JustLend DAO, TRON’s lending protocol holding more than $7 billion in TVL across borrowing, lending, and staking products, did the same. And BitTorrent, which provides cross-chain interoperability through BitTorrent Chain and decentralized storage through the BitTorrent File System, rounds out the group.
Why connectivity at the app level matters
Network-level wallet support and individual-application support are not the same thing in practice. A wallet can technically hold and sign transactions for a network’s native asset while individual decentralized applications still require users to connect through a different, network-specific wallet interface — a friction point that pushes users toward maintaining multiple wallets rather than consolidating around whichever one they already trust. By adding MetaMask as a supported connection option directly within B.AI, SUN.io, JustLend DAO, and BitTorrent’s own interfaces, TRON is removing that friction at the point where users actually interact with each application, rather than leaving native TRON support as a capability that exists in the wallet but goes unused at the application layer.
Note: the embedded TRON DAO post above covers MetaMask’s original native TRON network support launch earlier this year, the foundation this week’s app-level expansion builds on — it predates and is not a direct announcement of this specific update.
The scale behind the announcement
TRON’s underlying numbers give context for why wallet accessibility matters to the network: more than 402 million user accounts, over 15 billion cumulative transactions, roughly $23 billion in average daily transfer volume, more than $94 billion in circulating USDT issued on the network, and over $27 billion in total value locked across its DeFi ecosystem. “By expanding MetaMask dApp connectivity across TRON ecosystem applications, we’re giving users more ways to interact with TRON through a wallet they already know and use,” said Sam Elfarra, Community Spokesperson of TRON DAO. Dan Rosario, Ecosystem Engagement Manager at MetaMask, added that native TRON support “gives users greater flexibility to interact with the TRON ecosystem using the wallet they already know.” With MetaMask connectivity now live inside these four applications, users can manage TRON-based assets, transfer tokens like TRX and USDT, and execute swaps without leaving the MetaMask interface they already use for other chains.
