Ethena’s USDe Now Makes Up 60% of Pendle’s Total Value Locked

A synthetic dollar token just became the single biggest thing sitting inside one of DeFis largest yield platforms, and a brand new blockchain integration is pulling in fresh money fast.
Ethenas USDe now accounts for approximately $4.01 billion, or roughly 60% of Pendles total value locked, driven largely by fixed-yield and looping strategies built around the token. A new integration on HyperEVM specifically has drawn more than $80 million in deposits within just four days of launching.
USDe generates yield through a delta-neutral strategy that combines staked Ethereum collateral with short futures positions, a structure fundamentally different from fully-collateralized stablecoins like USDC, and Pendles fixed-yield markets let users lock in a set return on that yield rather than accepting whatever rate the underlying strategy happens to produce at any given moment.
USDe representing 60% of Pendles total value locked shows just how concentrated DeFi yield strategies have become around a small number of higher-yielding synthetic assets, a level of concentration that amplifies both the potential returns and the potential systemic risk if USDes underlying strategy were to underperform or face unusual market stress.
The rapid uptake of the new HyperEVM pools specifically suggests strong ongoing demand for USDe-based yield products even as the tokens overall share of Pendle continues to grow, rather than that growth simply reflecting a stale, already-established position.
