Tokenized Shares of AI Infrastructure Firm Nebius ($NBIS) Go Live on Solana

Tokenized equities have mostly launched with blue-chip household names so far. Solana’s newest addition instead taps directly into the AI infrastructure boom.
Tokenized shares of Nebius, the roughly $48 billion Nasdaq-listed AI infrastructure company, went live on Solana, issued by Backpack Securities and handled by Sunrise. The listing puts a GPU-cloud and AI-compute business on-chain rather than a traditional consumer or industrial blue chip.
Choosing an AI-infrastructure company rather than a household-name blue chip is a notable departure from how most tokenized-equity launches have positioned themselves so far. It taps into two of 2026’s biggest retail investment narratives, AI infrastructure and tokenized equities, in a single product rather than relying on either theme alone to drive interest.
This also continues a pattern of tokenized-equity products concentrating specifically on Solana rather than Ethereum layer-2 networks, likely reflecting Solana’s settlement speed and lower transaction costs for the kind of frequent, retail-sized trading these products are designed around.
As with most freshly launched tokenized-equity products, liquidity is typically thin in the early going, and the legal structure behind the token, custody arrangements, redemption rights, and how closely it actually tracks the underlying Nasdaq shares, varies by issuer. Investors should treat these as synthetic exposure wrappers rather than assume they carry the same rights as directly holding the underlying stock.
