Bitmine’s Ethereum Treasury Approaches $12 Billion

One companys Ethereum stockpile has grown so large it now represents roughly one in every twenty ETH tokens in existence.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies Ethereum treasury has climbed toward $12 billion, with holdings rising across a series of recent 8-K disclosures from 5.67 million to 5.74 million and as high as 5.79 million ETH tokens, pushing total crypto and cash holdings past $11.8 billion. The company now owns roughly 4.8% of Ethereums total supply, with 4.88 million ETH actively staked, worth approximately $8.8 billion.
The scale of Bitmines position is difficult to overstate: a single company holding nearly one-twentieth of all ETH in existence represents a level of concentrated corporate exposure to a single crypto asset that has few direct precedents, even accounting for the largest corporate Bitcoin holders.
Staking roughly 84% of its total ETH holdings means Bitmine is generating meaningful yield on top of any price appreciation, functionally operating less like a passive holding company and more like an institutional-scale validator whose returns are tied directly to Ethereums network security and staking economics.
A holding of this size inevitably raises questions about concentration risk for Ethereums broader validator ecosystem, since a single entity controlling a large, growing share of staked ETH shifts the practical distribution of network security influence, even without that entity taking any disruptive action.
