Yellow Card Raises $40 Million to Expand Stablecoin Rails in Latin America and Asia

Two of the fastest-growing regions for stablecoin adoption just got a fresh injection of capital aimed at building out the rails underneath them.
Yellow Card raised $40 million in strategic funding to expand USD accounts and stablecoin payment rails across Latin America and Asia-Pacific. The funding will support the company’s infrastructure buildout in regions where traditional banking access and currency stability have historically been more limited than in developed markets.
Yellow Card has positioned itself as infrastructure specifically for stablecoin-based financial services in emerging markets, where dollar-denominated stablecoins have found particularly strong organic demand as a hedge against local currency volatility and a more accessible alternative to traditional cross-border banking services.
Latin America and Asia-Pacific have both emerged as genuinely significant growth regions for stablecoin usage this year, driven by a combination of currency instability in specific markets, large unbanked and underbanked populations, and growing remittance flows that benefit from stablecoins’ lower cost and faster settlement compared to traditional money transfer services.
The raise adds to a broader wave of venture investment flowing into stablecoin infrastructure specifically this year, as investors increasingly treat payment rails and on/off-ramp infrastructure as a distinct, investable category separate from speculative crypto trading platforms.
